Upload your floor plan (PDF or JPG), then Calibrate Scale first (draw one known-length line, e.g. a door width) before tracing anything — a plan file has no built-in scale until you set one.
Auto-calculation: tracing the boundary + closing it computes the building's real area from the drawing (via calibrated scale) — no manual area entry needed. Tracing pipe routes similarly auto-populates pipe lengths into the BOQ in Step 4. Everything else (walls, rooms, pump placement) still needs your manual trace — the app cannot reliably auto-detect these from an arbitrary PDF/JPG.
